MAR/12: PERFORMANCE OF BERIO'S CIRCLES IN TEXAS

Dallas, TX – I was invited to perform Circles, Luciano Berio’s 1960 avant-garde chamber work for female voice, harp, and two percussionists, by Dallas’s new music ensemble, Voices of Change. I played with mezzo-soprano, Laura Mercado-Wright, and percussionists, Joe Ferraro and Drew Lang. The concert took place in Caruth Auditorium at Southern Methodist University. Laura and I first performed Circles together the summer of 2010 at Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA on the 50th anniversary of the composition’s premiere.
