24/25 SEASON: JACKSON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Jackson, MI - I am thrilled to announce my first season performing with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra as their newly appointed principal harpist. This year marks the orchestra's 75th anniversary and we are celebrating with some fantastic concerts and many great harp parts. Hear me on the following concerts this season:


Friday, August 23rd at 7PM This free concert, Summer Pops: A Salute to America, will take place at Horace Blackman Park and will feature a variety of orchestral music by iconic American composers including Aaron Copland, John Philip Sousa, and John Williams (Blackman Park).


Saturday, October 19th at 7:30PM This program honors Rhapsody in Blue's centennial with a program of French and American music that includes Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun, Ellington's Black, Brown, and Beige Suite, the world premiere of Fabien Waksman's saxophone concerto, The Dream of Artemis, and concludes with, of course, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue featuring pianist, Marika Bournaki (Potter Center at Jackson College).


Saturday, November 16th at 7:30PM An evening of music inspired by nature that includes Beethoven's Pastorale Symphony No. 6, The Moldau from Smetana's Má Vlast, and Bruch's Scottish Fantasy with Michigan-born violinist, Melissa White (Michigan Theatre).


Friday, December 13th to Sunday, December 15th Jackson Symphony will join Ballet Chelsea for four performances of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker (Potter Center at Jackson College).


Saturday, March 22nd at 7:30PM This program features Bernstein's On the Waterfront Symphonic Suite, a new trombone concerto commissioned from composer Carolina Calvache, and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances (Potter Center at Jackson College).


Saturday, April 26th at 7:30PM Our final concert of the season will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Jackson Symphony with several guest performers and collaborations with Jackson School of the Arts, Jackson Youth Symphony, Ballet Chelsea, and Jackson Chorale (Potter Center at Jackson College).
